As a BIM Technician, you will be responsible to produce Building Information Models and related drawings to support the design, installation, and commissioning of complex electrical and mechanical systems in high-value mission-critical facilities. You will work closely with the BIM Coordinator, engineers, and project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, coordinated, and clash-free BIM models.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Navisworks for electrical, mechanical, and architectural components.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure coordination and integration of all design disciplines within the model.
- Generate 2D drawings, details, and documentation from the 3D model for construction and fabrication purposes.
- Support the BIM Coordinator in the implementation of BIM execution plans and company standards.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and model walkthroughs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure model and drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM workflows, processes, and content libraries.
- Assist with setting up project-specific templates and model setup for new projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP and/or Architecture).
- Experience using Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM 360 / ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Ability to interpret MEP and architectural drawings and specifications.
- Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- 2+ year of experience in a BIM Technician or similar role in construction, MEP, or data center projects.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 principles.
- Knowledge of construction methods, coordination processes, and industry best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Experience in mission-critical or data center environments desirable.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and familiarity with Irish, UK, or EU building regulations and codes would be an advantage.
