Based in either of our Global Headquarters, this highly motivated individual will have a proven
track record of sales and marketing in the electrical industry and will have a thorough
knowledge of the market and the procurement procedures that govern the industry. An
Engineering or other technical degree or equivalent is also beneficial.
Candidate responsibilities:
Strategy:
- Understands the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g. Sustainability / Digital) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment and interprets the impact and opportunity for Hanley Energy.
- Participates in the development of sales strategies for the account by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans.
- Manage successful implementation of contracts and agreements with assigned accounts that lead to growth in sales volumes and additional partnership opportunities.
- Leads the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
Targets:
- Defines and proposes sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement with a structured follow up process across Divisions.
- Sells products/solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets representing all Hanley Energy.
Marketing:
- Performs client presentations articulating the value proposition of product / solution / service offerings.
- Creates added value for the customer and Hanley Energy by ensuring a coordinated sales approach (e.g. frame agreements, AVL related actions).
Market Knowledge:
- Monitors competitors’ activity with the account and ensures that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
- Gives input on market price developments.
- Provides management with suggestions for improving volume, market share and price levels.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of sales experience with proven record of corporate executive selling.
- Degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Sales and/or Marketing are preferred, however, other disciplines will be considered with proven technical selling aptitude.
- Experience is preferred in sales or business development working with clients in the Data Centre market.
- Consultive Sales experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates advanced negotiation skills, as well as be a critical thinker and able to solve complex problems.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Must be able to quickly adapt to a changing marketplace.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external customers.
- Creates and maintains detailed and accurate Account/Opportunity plans and reviews/updates and communicates these with regular cadence.
- Natural in navigating a dynamic environment with proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities as well as operate independently while building a successful sales pipeline.
- Ability to interact successfully with C-Level executives.
