Hanley Energy has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Accountant to join a busy finance team. This is a permanent role and an excellent opportunity to take on a position where you will work in collaboration with the Head of Finance and the wider finance department. The key objective of the role is to analyse and provide insights into the commercial and manufacturing performance of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop peformance reports and provide feedback and support to the four Irish manufacturing sites
- Carry out detailed margin analysis, identify and explain variances to expected costs.
- Compare actual results to budget and provide commentary to explain variances.
- Develop project margin analysis reporting. Compare results against budgets.
- Develop and implement departmental spend reporting.
- Implement and maintain a quarterly forecasting process.
- Support the annual budget process.
- Inventory – track and record inventory movement monthly, accurate valuation of inventory and associated provisions.
- Support the finance team with the month-end close
- Meeting tight deadlines in a busy environment and managing the day to day enquires received in relation to the company.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified – 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry role.
- Previous experience in manufacturing
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and good judgement showing logical decision making and ability to take a hands-on approach.
- Proven ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes.
- Highly organised and efficient with ability to work under pressure, manage a diverse and competing workload ensuring deadlines are met.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of ERP system is essential. SAP Business one experience would be a strong advantage.
