The Materials Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating materials for our LV Switchgear production, ensuring seamless operations and collaboration with our outsourcing partner, PACS. This role involves procurement, inventory management, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Materials Management:
- Oversee and manage the supply chain for LV Switchgear production materials.
- Ensure accurate tracking of material usage and inventory levels.
Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with PACS and other suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Resolve any material-related issues that may impact production timelines.
Procurement Support:
- Work with procurement teams to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor stock levels and implement inventory management strategies to minimize waste and downtime.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Production Support:
- Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs.
- Provide real-time updates on material availability to production managers.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system.
- Generate and present reports on inventory, procurement, and material usage.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in materials coordination or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in SAP is essential
- Familiarity with LV Switchgear production is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a dynamic production environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in SmartSheets would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of inventory management techniques and supply chain processes.
