TechCentral.ie, the online home of TechPro (formerly ComputerScope and Irish Computer), Ireland’s best well-known and respected technology magazine, was in attendence at Hanley Energy’s Data Centre Research and Development Hub grand opening on Thursday 6th August.
The TechCentral reporter notes how the simulation capability of the Hub refines design and development process:
The new research facility can simulate designs and installations to give granular visibility and control of solutions. Engineers and designers can not only refine solutions but can also be fully trained before implementation. Changes and future developments can be modelled for their benefits and effects, allowing for controlled change with minimal impact.
On the launch event itself, TechCentral outlines some of the Minister of State at the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Gerald Nash TD’s praise for Hanley Energy:
A prime example of an Irish company that was founded in the midst of recession and yet has developed a world class set of technologies. The Minister highlighted the company’s recent expansion, with offices in Sweden, Germany and the United States, that allowed it to compete on the international stage. Acknowledging the support of government and agencies such as Enterprise Ireland, the Minister praised the company for its innovation and professionalism in developing its power management and control technologies for data centres, as well as other sectors such as transport and food.
