Qualified Electrician Full-Time workshop position based out of our Dundalk Facility with occasional trips to our other facilities.
Are you an experienced, trained electrician who has experience working in a medium or high voltage electrical systems environment? If so this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company.
Role Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work closely with onsite, in-house and business partner teams.
- Confident to carry out in house customer testing or to be available to assist other members of the test team for same.
- In depth knowledge of electrical & Controls systems fault-finding techniques.
- Ensuring that customer expectations are met.
- Adhering to health, safety and environmental policies always.
- Involved in process improvement projects to help streamline both the electrical build process and the test procedure
- Continuously looking for new equipment and methods to improve our test procedure
- Be instrumental in testing and helping develop tests for any new parts that we are required to use.
- Occasional visits to other facilities to ensure all electrical processes are being followed correctly and that the Quality is consistent across all sites
- Liaising with Engineering, Quality and Design
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
- Certified in the trade of an Electrician with 5+ years’ experience in the switchgear industry
- Knowledge of PLC functionality, control systems and panel wiring
- Extensive knowledge in ABB and Schneider equipment. Ability to test and carry out maintenance on ACB’s, MCCB’s etc
- Experience with Electrical Instrumentation an advantage
- Excellent troubleshooting & Fault-finding capabilities
- Ability to read and understand SLD’s and Electrical schematics
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Quality driven with excellent attention to detail to ensure the best-in-class product.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing processes desirable
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
