The successful candidate will join the Engineering team and take responsibility for the technical product management of allocated key products in our ever‑expanding product range. Acting as the product ambassador internally and externally, you will maintain visibility of product performance and deployment, connect customer needs to Hanley Energy teams, and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
You will develop an in‑depth understanding of how your product works, perform analysis of complex problems, incorporate feedback from customers and delivery teams, and collaborate closely with commissioning, design, and controls teams to further develop and improve the product.
When issues are uncovered, you will be deeply involved in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, coordinating with relevant departments to implement corrective actions in a timely manner. You will apply a strong sense of urgency when required to protect customer outcomes and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

- Identify and manage risks regarding software development; drive process design and implementation aligned to best industry practices.
- Manage design material and technical documentation, ensuring it is current and accessible to relevant users.
- Support and monitor sales activity of allocated products; maintain commercial awareness of product KPIs including BOMs and cost sheets.
- Engage with all Hanley Energy departments to ensure product decisions support the overall business strategy.
- Monitor successful project delivery by working closely with project managers; provide leadership, guidance, key decisions, and remove blockers.
- Ensure robust change management procedures are followed to reduce risk brought about by changes to products or processes.
- Ensure lifecycle management data—from product testing through to service activity—is available; identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve LCM systems.
- Support design and logistics departments with compliance and certification topics.
- Continuously refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks within the context of allocated products.
