Meet Adam Geller, Safety Director
My job is to help the workers be productive and get home safe every day.
A typical day for me usually starts with checking our training schedule, making sure everyone’s up to date, and identifying anyone who’s due for renewal. We review the training matrix, confirm certifications and schedule sessions if needed. I also handle quotes for safety consulting and manage work permits – depending on how busy the day is – there might be several permits that need to be reviewed and signed off.

Another key part of the job is PPE inspections. So making sure arc flash gear and rubber gloves are current and compliant, and that everyone in the field has what they need to work safely and confidently.
One thing I really enjoy about working at Hanley Energy is the culture: we take safety seriously, but there’s also a strong sense of teamwork. Everyone’s looking out for each other, it’s really awesome.
No two days are ever exactly the same here. Some days you’re in the field, others, you’re coordinating, training or reviewing systems. There’s always something interesting to do, and right now we’re incredibly busy.
When you’re in safety, we’re always prepared to think through challenges and come up with solutions. People’s lives depend on it, and I’m proud to know that the work that I’m doing make sure products get done and people come back safely to their families.
