General Operative – Kingscourt

We are looking for a full-time General Operative to join our electrical assembly line at our Kingscourt Facility Co. Cavan with occasional trips to our other sites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Assembly: Assemble electrical products to a high standard using drawings, standard operating procedures, and verbal instructions.
  • Quality Workmanship: Maintain a high standard of workmanship and cleanliness, meeting required time scales.
  • Team Collaboration: Achieve weekly targets through effective teamwork and support production ramps to deliver customer products on time.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all parts used are of the correct quality and fitted correctly.
  • Communication: Liaise with supervisors and management on any issues affecting current requirements and outputs.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain work areas and equipment in accordance with company requirements, observing all safety rules and procedures.
  • Quality Procedures: Work with quality procedures related to material flow, material handling, processing defective material, acceptance and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions, etc.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Encourage effective communication across all departments and levels of staff.
  • Flexibility: Assist in other departments as needed and support the engineering team in validating new assembly procedures, equipment, and products.
  • Training: Train new personnel and validate whips to correct standards.
  • Testing: Follow whip testing and manufacturing procedures, ensuring high standards to meet customer requirements.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as required.

Experience, Qualifications, and Traits:

  • Flexible working attitude
  • Ability to read from drawings with excellent attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong work ethic and commitment, able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in electrical manufacturing/production
  • Ability to assemble small components
  • Forklift operation skills
  • Full clean driving license
