Given the importance of digital security and the vital need for all businesses to become active in the fight against cyber threats, Hanley Energy recently attended the International Cyber threat Task Force (ICTTF) Cyber Leaders Lunch at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin. By participating in the ICTTF Task Force and attending such events, we are putting a focus on the importance for companies like Hanley Energy to be Leaders in understanding & mitigating against cyber threats, particularly in the field of Critical Power & Utilities.
For us, minimising these threats manifests itself in 2 critical ways – firstly our own data transfer & management systems have to be highly secure and independently verified as such, so that we and our customers can feel completely confident in the handling of process, IP, R&D and business data. We achieve this through ISO27001 Certification for Information Security Management, which Hanley Energy was awarded recently . Secondly, we work hard to stay ahead of the threat by understanding the role our Event, Power & Energy Management software systems play in protecting Critical Power systems in key infrastructure facilities, such as Data Centers, Transport Hubs, Food Production and Healthcare Facilities.
As recent events show, such as the taking down of Ukraine’s Power Grid, the cyber threat is not only about protecting business information online, it is about protecting economies, a way of life and of ensuring safety for all. It is not only about credit card information, and the data stored in the Cloud and elsewhere, but it is also about the basic infrastructure we rely on every day. As a key supplier of critical infrastructure solutions to Colocation Facilities, Production Facilities, Web Giants and Enterprise Business customers, Hanley Energy is active and committed to taking a leading role in ensuring the robustness and resilience of today and tomorrows IT & Power Infrastructure.
Many thanks to Nostra IT for inviting us and to the ICTTF for hosting the event. We look forward to following up with those we met at the event to carry-out proposed Energy Audits and discuss secure Infrastructure Solutions, including Hanley Energy Powerhive, a Micro Data Centre in a Box, and Powerlink, our bespoke, vendor agnostic, Event & Power Management System.
