Hanley Energy’s Temperature Rise Test Lab is now officially a Level 3 Enhanced member of Intertek’s Program.
Hanley Energy is pleased to announce that our-state-of-the-art, in-house temperature-rise testing facility – capable of testing up to 11,000A at both 50Hz and 60Hz – has now been certified by Intertek as an Intertek SATELLITE™ Enhanced Level 3 Customer Testing Facility (CTF).
Making it the only independent switchgear manufacturing company in Ireland or the UK, and one of the very few independents worldwide, to have achieved this certification.

Becoming an Intertek SATELLITE™ Enhanced Level 3 Customer Testing Facility (CTF) offers significant benefits, primarily centered around gaining greater control, speed, and cost efficiency in our product certification process. This program empowers Hanley Energy to take more control of the compliance process while benefiting from Intertek’s global recognition and expertise, cementing our position as a global market leader in manufacturing switchgear.
CTF accreditation is a formal recognition of our lab’s testing capabilities and quality management system. It maximizes our existing investment in in-house testing resources, equipment, and skilled personnel.
Jerome McEvoy, Global Director Low Voltage Product comments: “This milestone strengthens our ability to support clients with faster validation, enhanced product assurance, and smoother access to international markets.”

Key Benefits
Complete control over our product testing schedule
Performing the tests in our own in-house laboratory using our own equipment and personnel eliminates the need to coordinate with external lab availability.
Faster time-to-market as certification timeline is significantly reduced
We can get our Authorization to Mark (ATM) in as little as five days after submitting the data and reports to Intertek, much faster than traditional third-party testing which can take weeks. This allows for rapid market responsiveness.
Broader market access with wide range of globally recognized certification marks
Our test data is directly reviewed by Intertek and can be used to obtain a wide range of globally recognized certification marks – such as the ETL Listed Mark, S Mark, CB Scheme, and more – facilitating access to international markets.
We are covered to test to IEC 61439-1, UL 891, UL1558, UL67, CSA 22.2 #31, CSA 22.2#244, and IEEE C37.20.1
