Meet Anna McEvoy, Senior Project Manager at Hanley Energy (Stamullen, Ireland)
The main objective of my role is to get a project from start to finish, within budget and schedule.
I started as an engineer as I have a manufacturing and design engineering degree and a post-grad in project management. I’m very confident in my abilities from my extensive experience and qualifications.
In my current role, I am also responsible for ensuring my team are performing to their highest standards. I specialize in new development projects, so every project I get assigned is new and exciting.

A day in the life for me is attending regular meetings relating to projects, one-to-one conversations with the team, seeing what new challenges they’re facing, collaborating with different departments and providing project updates to the customer.
We treat our customers as long term partners. It’s not just about selling a product or service, it’s about helping them achieve their goals and being there whenever they need us. One key lesson I’ve learned about building trust and long term partnership with clients is being polite and respectful. It’s important that the customer knows you’ll be honest and transparent.
If I was to describe Hanley Energy’s culture in three words, it would be collaborative, customer-centric and inclusive.
I’ve discovered I’m more social than I thought and I enjoy organizing social events and outings for both the team and the social club. If I could give one piece of advice to someone starting at Hanley Energy tomorrow, it’d be to make an effort to get to know people. It’s a very supportive and collaborative environment.
